STDs & HIV

The US has the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among industrialized nations, with about 19 million new infections each year. Almost half of these infections are among adolescents and young adults aged 15-24. Addressing STD/HIV prevention through a framework that is positive, evidence- and public health-based is critical to addressing the staggering adverse outcomes and inequities of unhealthy sexual behavior and stigma.
