As the only national membership organization in the United States dedicated to increasing family planning access, NFPRHA provides three types of essential and exclusive benefits.

ADVOCACY & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

Federal policy advocacy
As your representative in Washington, NFPRHA advocates for the resources and policy changes necessary to advance and improve federal-funded family planning health care delivery to low-income and uninsured women, men and adolescents.

Representation with Congress, the Biden administration, and key federal agencies
NFPRHA's policy team shares issues that emerge from the field with key congressional offices, administration officials and regulatory agencies. NFPRHA also litigates to protect members against damaging federal policies and regulations when necessary.

Service Delivery Improvement Support
NFPRHA provides critical technical assistance and resources to help your health care center improve and maintain sustainable operations. NFPRHA provides service delivery support via tools, resources, remote and in-person presentations, trainings, and technical assistance, all of which can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your organization or network. Topic areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Revenue cycle management
  • Insurance contracting
  • Clinic efficiency
  • Alternative delivery systems
  • Collaborations and partnerships
  • Quality measurement, improvement, and management

Apply to participate in a special project
NFPRHA members are eligible apply to participate in special projects which test emerging service delivery innovation in the publicly funded family planning setting. Many of these projects come with stipends or pass-through grant funding to support member participation.

Technical assistance on key federal laws and regulations
NFPRHA monitors and analyzes legislation and regulations and provides you with action-oriented tools to help you advocate with your federal legislators for low-income family planning care more effectively serve your patients.

Opportunity to take action
The collective voice of the family planning field gains power in numbers. NFPRHA provides members with timely opportunities to join advocacy campaigns on issues affecting low-income access to family planning services.

NETWORKING & CONVENING

Eligibility to join NFPRHA workgroups
NFPRHA solicits member input and feedback through a variety of issues-based workgroups. Participating in a workgroup is a significant way to make an impact on federal policy and regulations.

Monthly membership calls
NFPRHA provides monthly opportunities for members to convene and learn about high-priority topics from expert presenters. Members can join the calls, or listen to archives on the NFPRHA website.

Free or discounted registration for NFPRHA Conferences and Meetings
NFPRHA offers free or discounted registration for members to the annual National Conference, Winter Meeting, and Fall Meeting, which take place throughout the year. Learn more about upcoming NFPRHA events.

Subsidized travel to NFPRHA meetings
Members are eligible for subsidized travel to NFPRHA meetings and the National Conference when available through grant funding.

Host a visit or presentation from NFPRHA staff
Hosting a site visit from NFPRHA staff or inviting NFPRHA to present at your next state-wide or regional meeting is both educational for you and a great way to impact NFPRHA's national policy and regulatory work. NFPRHA staff are available to travel to you or participate by phone or webinar. If you would like to request a visit or presentation email your request to info@nfprha.org.

Trying to fill an administrative or clinical position at your organization? Using the NFPRHA job board, members post position announcements and find the right staff to fit their organization's needs.
