In The Courts

Summary

Over the course of its history, NFPRHA has engaged in various forms of legal action—as plaintiff, co-plaintiff, and amicus curiae—to support and defend the work of family planning providers and administrators, especially those in the safety net.

NFPRHA's Work

NFPRHA recently fought in court to preserve access to publicly funded family planning, prevent irreparable harm to the Title X program, and protect NFPRHA’s members and the millions of patients they serve each year. On May 17, 2021, the Supreme Court dismissed the TItle X cases. Read NFPRHA's reaction here.

NFPRHA also monitors, analyzes, and supports court cases on a variety of family planning and sexual health-related issues that may impact NFPRHA members and their patients.
