Reforming the health care delivery system is a marathon, not a sprint. For many health advocates and providers it will be a life-long mission to continue expanding access to quality health care for all. Although open enrollment for state-based and federal insurance marketplaces closed on March 31, health care organizations and staff must remain committed to educating, enrolling, and retaining a diverse mix of patients while also advocating to ensure successful implementation on the local and state levels. This online learning session will provide strategies for maintaining momentum and continuing to engage staff, educate patients, and expand health care access as health reform implementation efforts continue. Recommended for Clinic Administrators, Medical Directors, Clinicians, Health Educators and Counselors, and Outreach Workers.
Presenters: Amy Moy, Vice President of Public Affairs, CFHC, Sarah Ross, Director of Public Policy, CFHC, and Njeri McGee-Tyner, Eligibility & Enrollment Director, Alameda Health Consortium
