NFPRHA, NAPAWF, and NLIRJ are hosting a Save Medicaid Week of Action from April 21-25, to support Medicaid funding and protect accessibility, including actions you can take both live and digitally.
The themes for the week are:
April 21: Mobilization Monday
Before the week starts, help build momentum by sharing our digital advocacy toolkit with your networks. On Monday, post social media graphics and copy from the toolkit (Word; PDF) on your channels to amplify the call to protect Medicaid.
April 22: Tell Your Story Tuesday
Stories are powerful tools for change. On Tell Your Story Tuesday, we’re encouraging members and partners to share the stories of patients and communities that rely on Medicaid, both on social media and in person. You can upload a patient story to our Google form until April 15, or use this template graphic to create your own macro.
April 23: Write and Call Your Representative Wednesday
Your voice matters. Write and call your elected officials today to directly reach lawmakers and show them that their constituents care about saving Medicaid. A few minutes of action can make a big difference in how decision makers prioritize health care.
April 24: Take Action Thursday
Engage directly in your communities. Attend a local town hall meeting, invite your member of congress to your health center, or even consider hosting a press event.
April 25: Fact Check Friday
On Fact Check Friday, empower your community with accurate information. As part of NFPRHA’s Save Medicaid Week of Action we are calling on all members to help combat the harmful misinformation and disinformation that undermines trust in healthcare and jeopardizes access to Medicaid.
