Supreme Court Rules Plaintiffs Lack Standing in Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA

Washington, D.C. – The following is a statement from Clare Coleman, President & CEO of the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association.

"Today’s Supreme Court ruling in Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA, for now, preserves access to medication abortion for the millions of people who rely on it. Medication abortion is an effective and medically safe option with a 20-year track record. This case was brought by abortion opponents who are intent on banning abortion nationwide by any means necessary. Today’s decision won’t deter those forces, and that is why NFPRHA remains committed to the family planning and sexual health providers who are trying their best to safeguard the health, well-being, and autonomy of their patients."
