SUMMARY
NFPRHA is seeking candidates for an events internship for the Spring 2019 term. This intern will be integral to carrying out responsibilities leading up to and during the association’s 2019 National Conference. The Events Intern will receive a diverse range of experience supporting staff, NFPRHA members, and other conference supporters and external stakeholders.

REQUIRED TIME COMMITMENT
The Events Intern will commit 22.5 hours per week during the Spring 2019 semester (January 2019 to May 2019). Start/end dates and working schedule are flexible. The Events Intern will be required to attend the National Conference from March 16-20, 2019 in Washington, DC.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

NFPRHA staff rely on interns to make substantive and supportive contributions to our work. The Events Intern will support staff with key responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assist with the planning, registration, logistics, and operations leading up to the national conference and annual fundraising event.
  • Manage conference speaker logistics.
  • Create and send conference registration invoices.
  • Assist with updating information in conference app.
  • Support marketing and communications efforts with NFPRHA members, and other conference supporters and external stakeholders.
  • Support the collection and submission of member continuing education unit certification.
  • Work on site during national conference and fundraising event.
  • Assist with updating NFPRHA website and information in conference app.
  • Maintain records in database.

  • Basic HTML knowledge or an interest in learning.
  • Ability and desire to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Desire to gain nonprofit and/or event planning experience.
  • Self-starter.

COMPENSATION
The internship is paid. NFPRHA will also work with student interns and their universities to provide credit for the internship if requested.
